4-Stroke

Advantages for a 4-stroke:
4-Strokes basically have to do four things to complete one cycle.
4-Strokes are the most common engine in a mordern motorcyle.
They last longer and have way more power than 2-Strokes.
4-Strokes they are easier to maintain and they don't require much maintance as a 2-Stroke
If you love power, go with a 4-Stroke, the power is incredible in a 450.
If you always get stuck in ruts, than a 4-Stroke is just the right bike for you.
If you want top seed than your looking for a 2-Stroke, but most people recomend 4-Strokes because of their power. 4-Strokes are great for supercross! And 2-Strokes are made for Outdoor National Motocross!

2-stroke

2-Stroke

- A 2-stroke engine has more top speed than a 4-stroke

- Two-stroke engines fire once every revolution (four-stroke engines fire once every other revolution). This gives two-stroke engines a significant power boost.

- Two-stroke engines are lighter, and cost less to manufacture.

- Two-stroke engines have the potential for about twice the power in the same size because there are twice as many power strokes per revolution.

- If you’re looking to join a dirt bike race rather than merely enjoy the pleasures of dirt riding, a 2-stroke is the better option for you.

- A 2-stroke engine dirt bike is more powerful than a 4-stroke engine dirt bike.

Disadvantages

- A 2-stroke engine doesn’t last as long as a 4-stroke engine.

- A 4-stroke is more environmentally friendly

- A 2-stroke engine wears out faster than a 4-stroke

- 2-stroke dirt bikes have less fuel efficiency than 4-stroke dirt bikes.

Quad or Dirt bike?

Which would you pick, a Quad which may be safer than a dirt bike or would you even take that into consideration? What about faster and easier to control? Would you pick a 2- stroke over a 4- stroke? Do you have the hunger for acceleration or top speed? Are you the kind of person that has no fear? If you don’t then a dirt bike might be the right choice for you.
A bad thing about Dirt Bikes is that you will crash more. You can fall at anytime especially in the air. Are you going to want to fly through the air on a dirt bike wondering which bones take the least amount of time to heal? Are you a person that likes four wheels and love to fly through mud or sand? A quad is meant to be pushed to its limits. Will you have the guts to pull off a back flip with a 300 pound machine or jump with it? What kind of terrain do you like? With a quad it doesn’t matter which terrain you’re on but with a dirt bike it matters. Dirt bikes have their own sports, know as motocross, supercross, and freestyle, if you are meant to have glory I would have to tell you to go with a dirt bike. If you like riding through trails in the woods, I would have to say go with a quad. Now after all that said, which bike would you choose?
