2-stroke

2-Stroke

- A 2-stroke engine has more top speed than a 4-stroke

- Two-stroke engines fire once every revolution (four-stroke engines fire once every other revolution). This gives two-stroke engines a significant power boost.

- Two-stroke engines are lighter, and cost less to manufacture.

- Two-stroke engines have the potential for about twice the power in the same size because there are twice as many power strokes per revolution.

- If you’re looking to join a dirt bike race rather than merely enjoy the pleasures of dirt riding, a 2-stroke is the better option for you.

- A 2-stroke engine dirt bike is more powerful than a 4-stroke engine dirt bike.

Disadvantages

- A 2-stroke engine doesn’t last as long as a 4-stroke engine.

- A 4-stroke is more environmentally friendly

- A 2-stroke engine wears out faster than a 4-stroke

- 2-stroke dirt bikes have less fuel efficiency than 4-stroke dirt bikes.
